Movement in Art

During last weeks we've been working on "How to show movement" in our artworks, Using spirals, swirls, curved and wavy lines we've been creating different types of effects. As a final project we've drawn our version of the famouus artwork "The Scream" by Edvard Munch. // Durante las última semanas hemos estado trabajando en cómo mostrar movimento en nuestras obras de arte. Usando espirales, remolinos, líneas curvas y ondas, hemos creado diferentes tipos de efectos. Como proyecto final hemos dibujado nuestra versión de la famosa obra "El grito" de Edvard Munch.

St. Valentine´s day

Every day is St. Valentine´s day in our Art and Craft Classroom. Lots of love, hearts and happiness. We've been singing the song "All you need is love"  (The Beatles) and we've decorated our classroom.// Todos los días son San Valentín en nuestra clase de plástica. Mucho amor, corazones y felicidad. Hemos estado cantando la canciónd e los Beatles "All you need is love" y hemos decorado nuestra clase.

 

   

Carnival at Abelendo School.

Carnaval is coming and this year we're becoming super-heros who are taking care of our environment. Using the 4th graders self-portraits they've become superdino's guardians!!// El carnaval está aquí y este año nos convertiremos en super-héroes que cuidarán de nuestro entorno. Usando los autoretratos que han dibujado nuestros alumnos de 4º se han convertido en guardianes superdinos!!

Christmas Activities

Our 4th graders have been designing their Christmas presents. Photo frames with air dry clay decorated with poster paint. Then they have sticked their pictures on them. Unfortunately and, due to some technical problems, we can´t show the final results but they were very proud of themsevles.
Finally they decorated our English Classroom with a beautiful Christmas tree with their colourful hands.// Nuestros alumnos de cuarto grado han estado diseñado sus regalos de Navidad. Marcos con pasta endurecible al aire decorados con témpera. Después han pegado sus fotos. Desafortunadamente y, por problemas técnicos, no podemos enseñaros los resultados finales pero ellos han quedado muy orgullosos. Finalmente han decorado nuestra clase de inglés con un bonito árbol de navidad con sus coloridas manos

 

                

My Still Life with Parrot (inspired by Frida Kahlo)

We've learning more things about the famous artist Frida Kahlo. She painted many famours paintings but which we loved the most, is STILL LIFE WITH PARROT. So, first we learnt something about what a still life is, and how to draw our version of this famous painting. We also learnt how to paint with watercolours//Hemos estado aprendiendo más cosas sobre la famosa pintora Frida Kahlo. Pintó muchos cuadros famosos pero a nosotros el que más nos gustó NATURALEZA MUERTA CON LORO. Entonces, primero aprendimos algunas cosas sobre lo que es una naturaleza muerta en arte y después pintamos nuestra versión de este famoso cuadro. También aprendimos la téncica de cómo pintar con acuarelas.

 

Frida Kahlovera portrait

Halloween is coming and in our Art class we've been learning something about the famous Mexican painter --Frida Kahlo- and "El día de los muertos" in Mexico where they celebrate this festiviy offering sugar skulls, flowers or family pictures to the people who are dead. After that, our 4th graders have drawn their own Frida Kahlo portraits inspered by this festivity. They called their artworks, FRIDA KAHLOVERA Portratis mixing Kahlo+calavera. Smart children, aren´t they?// Halloween está ahí y en nuestra clase hemos estado aprendiendo algunas cosas sobre la famosa pintora mejicana -Frida Kahlo- y sobre el día de los muertos en Méjico donde celebran esta festividad ofreciendo a sus muertos, calaveras de azucar, flores o fotos de sus familias. Después nuestros alumnos de cuarto han dibujado sus propios retratos de Frida Kahlo. Ellos mismos los llamaron los retratos de FRIDA KAHLOVERA, uniendo Kahlo+calvera. Listos no?'

3D Hands with warm and cool colours

In our Art Classroom our students have been learning how to create volume by drawing and colouring their 3D hands with horizontal, straight and curved lines. They've also been rewiewing some concepts such as primary and secondary colours, warm and cool colours or the colour wheel. // En la clase de plástica nuestros alumnos han estado aprendiendo cómo crear volumen dibujando y coloreando sus manos en 3D con líneas horizontales rectas y curvas. También han estado repasando algunos conceptos como colores primarios y secundarios, colores cálidos y fríos o sobre la rueda de los colores
