Santa's expressive portraits.

Our 4th graders have been working on how to draw different Expressive Portraits. As Christmas time is coming, they've been designing their Santa´s portraits too. Santa's happy, angry, sad, shy, serious, naughty...EMOTIONS are everywhere and Santa is not an exception. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!

This week we've been working on STILL LIFE PAINTINGS IN ART. First, we've learning something about their history and their main characteristics.

Then we've learning about Vicent Van Gogh and one of his most famous still life: "Sunflowers" and how to draw our sunflowers.

     

Finally we've been working on our own Still Lifes. Here you have our artworks.

 

Warm and cool colours.

Our 4th graders have been working on the color wheel and they've been learning about warm and cool colours. They've been also finding out about the relationship between colours and emotions...

Correlingua T-shirts.

Our 4th graders have designed their "Correlingua" t-shirts. They've been working in groups developing their creativtiy and imagination as the only tool for decorating them. Good job!!// Nuestros alumnos de 4º han diseñado sus camisetas para el "Correlingua". Han trabajado en grupo desarrollando su creatividad e imaginación como único instrumento para decorarlas. My Starry Night

During this month we've been learning different techniques to create "movement". We've learnt new things about Vincent van Gogh artwork "The Starry Night". Based on this way of painting and using materials such as oil pastels or watercolours, our 4th graders have created their oun "Starry Nights"// Durante este mes hemos estado aprendiendo diferentes técnicas para crear movimiento. Hemos aprendido cosas nuevas sobre la obra de Vicent van Gogh "La noche estrellada". Basado en esta forma de pintar y usando materiales tales como ceras al óleo y acuarelas, nuestros alumnos de 4º han creado sus propias "Noches Estrelladas".

Easter Eggs

Easter is a time to celebrate new life. In Spring, flowers bloom and birds hatch from eggs. Our students have decorated their Easter cards with different patterns, colourful Easter eggs and Easter bunnies.// La pascua es un momento para celebrar la nueva vida. En primavera las flores florecen y los pajaros eclosionan de los huevos. Nuestros alumnos han decorado sus tarjetas de pascua con diferentes estampados, coloridos huevos de pascua y conejitos de pascua.

My Australian Boomerang

Our students have been working on DREAMTIME ART. It´s a special art made by the native people of Australia. They've learnt different things related to this type or Art(complemetary colours, symbols, elements from nature...) With all this information and different materials, they have created their own Australian Boomerangs. Here you have their results:// Nuestros alumnos han estando trabajando con DREAMTIME ART. Es un tipo de arte especial creado por los nativos de Australia. Han aprendido cosas relacionadas con este tipo de Arte (colores complementarios, símbolos, elementos de la naturaleza...). Con toda esa información y diferentes materiales, han creado sus propios Boomerangs australianos. Aquí tenéis los resultados:

Carnival, Carnival.

Welcome Carnival!! Here you have some funny masks our students have designed to celebrate this festivity. They've used lots of different materials: coloured pencils, crayons, oil pastels, glitter, felt tips, small stars, diamonds...so they've created very colourful and original masks // Bienvenido Carnaval!!. Aquí tenéis los divertidos antifaces que nuestros alumnos han diseñado para celebrar esta festividad. Han usado diferentes materiales: lápices de colores, ceras, purpurina, rotuladores, estrellitas, brillantes...han creado unos antifaces muy coloridos y originales.
